| Angela Gallia, the daughter of a potter, has been working in clay since the mid 1980's. She currently maintains a private studio in Dallas where she creates a unique line of finely crafted ceramics. Lots of credit is due our friends and family who provide a whole bunch of laughter, support and music. |
|
| Angela's work has been shown throughout the United States and in Canada. Her work appears in a number of collections including the San Angelo Museum of Fine Art and the Baker University Children's Museum. It has been published in Clay Times, Ceramics Monthly, Functional Pottery by Robin Hopper, Clay And Glazes For The Potter by Daniel Rhodes, ,Making Marks by Robin Hopper, The Sculpture Reference by Arthur Williams and Slab Built Tableware by Kathy Triplett. Angela's heroes and mentors include (but are not limited to) Gary Huntoon, Billy Ray Mangham, John (dad) Williams, Jack Earl and Tom Robbins. |

| The work is hand built using a variety of techniques including slab construction, modeling, pinching and coil building. Much of the work is made from stoneware and fired to cone 8. The pieces are decorated with carved slip, wax resist and ceramic decals. |
